Invoices and sales

Sales receipts, refunds and credit memos

Paid on the spot, money back, or credit for next time.

  • Sales receipt: the customer paid at the time of sale, so there's no invoice to chase. The money goes straight into the account you choose.
  • Refund receipt: you gave money back.
  • Credit memo: the customer is owed credit, which TallyPip applies to their open invoices (oldest first). Any left over waits for their next invoice.

All three can include sales tax, which comes off what you owe the tax agency for refunds and credits.
